Born out of the country and raised all over the place as an Air Force brat, I've had many inspiring adventures. I currently reside in Georgia, but definitely enjoyed being able to travel.
I've been drawing since I could scribble with a crayon, and never really stopped. Instead of drawing things I saw, however, I stuck to drawing things that couldn't be seen--the various things and creatures born of my own imagination. Fueled and inspired by cartoons, my favorite source of fictional and fantastical things, I seemed to develop a particularly animation-ready style and interest in pursuing the artform. I aslo tried to pull this off in high school, much to the annoyance of my art teacher ("Dia, we need to get you drawing more realistically!")
After high school, I attended Savannah College of Art and Design for a B.F.A. Degree, where I majored in Animation and dabbled in Sequential Art and Game Design. My favorite projects involved designing characters, whether defining them in detail or bringing them to life frame by frame. My concentration was traditional and digital cell animation (anything 2D, regardless of method), but I learned and enjoyed working in 3D as well.
I'm usually in front of a computer... even with other hobbies and interests such as personal artwork and video games. But I do break away for good movies, crafting odd things, drawing the good old fashioned way, and being goofy with... my fellow goofballs.
I am currently seeking full-time emplyoment in a setting where I can contribute with my character design and animation skills and look forward to the chance!
